Meeting Baby Kerra!

One of my very good friends had her first baby, Kerra, about 6 weeks ago!

I hadn't had a chance to see them because of my work schedule and school but I finally was able to meet her for lunch and meet her adorable daughter!

It was so good to catch up, I haven't seen her in so long.

It's crazy to think that we always talked about having kids at the same time and now she has one!

I am so happy for her!

Congrats Bri and Carlos!!!!!

My life was consisting of a lot of this....

Then... 

Michigan weather got in the way and it was cold for a while- well at least too cold to lay poolside. 

It was nice while it lasted and I hope to get out there again soon.

Fall semester registration starts in the next 2 weeks. I was surprisingly debating my decision to do Nursing once more. Thank goodness I have a good support system! I think the pathogenic 6 week accelerated summer class really scared me. 

I am re-taking it again this fall along with taking A&P- its only 2 classes but its 2 classes with 2 labs. ugh.

LAST (2) CLASSES

 I need to refocus and bust out this last semester!

I got the urge again... 

To start decorating.

Pretty soon we are going to need a bigger place because I am running out of room.

We have been living in our current apartment for a year and we STILL have not put up ANY photos of us from our wedding, engagement, or of our family/friends. 

SO SAD!

I decided to surprise Daniel and get some of our wedding photo's developed and buy frames while he was at work.

I am honestly not sure how to position photos on a wall in a group but I think it turned out alright and he was happy and surprised- success!

And now it actually looks like real people live here. :-)

I am also contemplating enrolling in a EMT-B classes this fall. I really really really want to work in the ER of our hospital as a ER tech. This set of classes would only better my chances with the NA experience I am already gaining. I might even throw in a phlebotomy class as well.

This summer is going well and I can't wait till July 4th in 2 weeks! My favorite Holiday!! :-)

What a crazy few weeks it has been!

I have been busy with school (I think this is the last accelerated summer class I will EVER take).

And

Good OL' working at the hospital

Dan has been just as busy with work and helping me keep our place in order since I have really slacked off with the dishes and such. -Bad wifey ;-)

I woke up to find a little love note for me this morning, along with fresh coffee, and the dishes done. What a sweetie pie <3 He really knows the way to a woman's heart. ;-) xoxo

We spent Memorial Day at Oxford Lakes, Oxford, MI. 

It was SO, unbelievably, HOT that day!!

I was glad we went and spent some time with friends that we don't normally get to see to often.

We cooked hot dogs, relaxed in the sun, and played volleyball 

You could say we dominated the sand!

LOVE Michigan LAKES! Although, the water was a little bit chilly that day.

Only a couple more weeks and I will be done with summer class and done with working EVERY-SINGLE-Weekend! I am thinking a vacation will be in order towards the end of July. I am thinking Traverse City or taking the train down to Chicago for the weekend. Either way we NEED a vacation badly. 

The last week has been a complete and utter BLUR!

As you read in my previous post I started training this past Wednesday....which started off awful...

M,T,W of this week I also had training and on top of that summer semester began Monday.

My past (3) days have looked a little like this:

5 am wake up get ready for work

7am-330 work/orientation

5-9pm pathogenic micro

945 home

10-1030 bed

SO EXHAUSTING!!!

BUT I am happy to announce...

I "graduated" training :-)

and

I now only work on the weekends so I can focus completely on school for the next 6 weeks.

I met sooooo many awesome people during training and it ended on a great note.

I am very sad that I am not able to see them on a daily basis anymore at work since we all work different floors/shifts.

My last day was the most boring----computer training ALL day!

I am SO happy to be done.

Randomness

Our tree is losing all its flowers :-(

It was beautiful while it lasted.

I got my ring cleaned the other day. It's so sparkly now, amazing what a little cleaning will do. It still amazes me every time I look at it that I am married to my best friend and that its been almost 2 years. God does such amazing things! For all you debating marriage out there- I HIGHLY suggest it. It's so much fun-

UPDATE...

Training is kicking my butt. 

Anything that could go wrong has so far...

1st day

I was mailed a orientation packet before the first day which informed me to be there @ 12.

Orientation actually started at 7:00 a.m.! 1/2 the class showed up late and now we have to make the hours we missed

2nd day.

Everyone already knew each other but ME because they went through CPR training and Beaumont orientation together the day before.

Everyone's unit manager was super nice and came down to meet them but mine, and everyone already had their work schedules for after training but me.

3rd day

Finally meet my unit manager after searching out her office. I find out during training on the floor they work you full-time hours on days so I am stuck working every weekend F-Sat-Sun 7am-7pm until July because of my summer class schedule. 

I am really, really, really, not looking forward to this schedule. I am very nervous/worried/anxious to start. 

On the bright side:

* more money!! $$$ for full-time hours

* maybe working 3 consecutive days in a row will be better- to get it out of the way AND to learn more quickly and easier

MOST IMPORTANTLY

*It's only TEMPORARY

*sigh*

YAY! Grades are in for winter semester. I got all A's! To most of you you'r probably like "ya big deal," but to me this is awesome. I have NEVER ever gotten all A's. No matter what I always end up with one or two B+'s. All of that early morning studying before work, missing the gym, and favorite tv shows paid off. 

Just proves if you really want something you can do it!

Now to do the same with summer semester...*sigh*

I really think its stupid when people take pictures of themselves, 

BUT

I had to...

I also went to "Hobby Lobby" with my girlfriend Danielle yesterday and got this wall decal- I am seriously obsessed with this stuff. I have been looking for something to put over our bed for a while, glad I finally found something. It was over 50% off! Can't beat that, usually these are $25.00 a piece. I think the total came to $10 bucks. 

I just had to add this picture. I took this a while ago but I am just so happy these two are getting along. Dan and I were both really worried at first- especially because Mr. Behr wouldn't let Minnie come out of the kitchen for one FULL week after we got her. But now they are inseparable :-)
