Annnnd here we go again...

Baby #2 !!!!!!!

This little munchkin has been a HUGE surprise to both Dan and I. Of course, we wanted to have more children. I have always dreamed of having a larger family (I highly doubt that will happen). But really, I grew up watching the TV show 7th Heaven and desired to have a family like that some day. Just...it was not expected this soon.

We are thrilled- truly!
Now that the shock has wore off, we are really excited for Jacob to have a brother or sister and have another little baby in the house. We find out the gender February 2- and this time we both say girl. But I have been thinking of baby boy names just in case we get another little man.

How far along: 18 weeks
Gender: unknown
Weight gain: 15 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Leggings and yoga pants.
Sleep: I sleep great- but baby is positioned right on my bladder this time so I am getting up often sooner this time to pee.
Best moment this month: Hearing a healthy heartbeat :)
Worst moment this month: exhaustion and no motivation to do anything
Miss anything: Being able to drink as much caffeine as my heart desires and wearing normal clothes and getting in shape.
Movement: Yes, once or twice- super faint. but I know it was the babe.
Cravings: Airheads
Queasy or sick: super nauseous all the first trimester- that's 3 MONTHS!! it was awful. But now- I feel great.
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender and seeing the baby for our ultrasound Feb 2. :)

I have a 6 month old! Holy cow!

You babble lots- mainly saying "dadadadada" and "babababa."
You can sit up all on your own and love to go on walks. Seriously, we take 2-3 walks daily. We took you to the beach for the first time this month and you LOVED it. You loved the sand and watching all the other little kids. You like to swing. We also took you to Nana and Papa's pool and you love to swim and didn't cry once. *My little goldfish!* No crawling yet- but you like to try and practice in your crib and only your crib. we now can take you to the grocery store and you sit up in the cart like a big boy. You are growing into 18 month clothing very nicely and all the nice 12 month summer shorts mom bought for you already have to be reitred. You tried watermelon this month and enjoyed sucking it to death. Your favorite TV show- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So many changed this month- we are so excited to continue to watch you grow.

Easter Sunday

I really wish we would have taken a family photo that day, we forgot and tried to take a family "selfie" later and it was awful....this was the best one we could do.

So separate photos with the little guy it was.

It was pretty much the "first" official day Dan had off with us as a family since we had Jacob. CRAZINESS right!? We knew having him that our schedules would change. I would go part-time at work and he would have to take his days off during the week the days that I worked so we didn't have to do daycare. This is only a temporary arrangement. Our hope is that Dan can land a job making enough so that I can stay home full time and have more babies in the near future. So far that hasn't happened, so we just keep trying, praying, and hoping it happens soon.

We went to church (1st time as a family!), listened to my dad speak in church that day, and spent the afternoon with D's family at our house. The weather was beautiful, sunny, and in the high 60's so later that evening we took a walk around the neighborhood.

HERE's TO SPRINGTIME IN MICHIGAN!!
Finally! :)

I'm 5 Months Old!

Easter Sunday!

You have become quite the grabber and grip everything within your reach. You love to bounce in your jumper at our house and at nana and papa's. Your favorite toy is still Sophie the Giraffe and now your teddy bear Manni. Your down to 2-3 naps a day and have started eating solids. You love your veggies but not a fan of the fruits yet. You are in 12 month clothes!!

Love me some Sweet Potatoes!

You and Your Ted- Manni

Haha...here's a video of you desperately wanting your teddy.

Happy in your Jumper at home:

I'm 4 Months Old!!

You have found your voice! Screaming and screaming just for fun. You LOVE to have your diaper changed and be on your changing pad. You weigh in at a whopping 19.5 pounds and 27 inches! You are in 9 month clothes.Your favorite toy is Sophie the Giraffe. We started rice cereal this month and you are a fan! You also tried apple juice but Mom decided to wait until later to give you anymore because it made you too hyper.

Enjoying some apple juice- holding the bottle all by yourself!

Small example of you screaming at the end (you were a little camera shy):

Such a Ham!!
Your personality is starting to shine through. You think things are funny and smile often. You are finally big enough to sit in your bumbo chair. Still in 6 month clothes- thank goodness! But chunk'n up like crazy. We have transitioned you to your crib at night and so far is working well (still not sleeping through the night). You made your grand entrance at church this month!
